Itinerary
On arrival at Srinagar International Airport at an altitude of 1730 Mts. Meet our assistance at the airport & transfer by car to Pahalgam, also known as “Land Of Shepherds”. the distance of 96 kms will be covered in about 3 hrs. The mountain town is located at the convergence of the Lidder river and the Sheshnag Lake, at a height of 2,130 m, Enroute visit Saffaron fields and Awantipura Temple ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Avantivarman) Pahalgam hill station is a spectacular sight. At one point of time, the hill station used to serve as the village of shepherds. Even today, this one-time village with splendid views stands untouched by the ravages of progress. On reaching early you can visit to Baisaran (Mini Switzerland) on ponies (on extra cost) the huge meadows surrounded by thickly wooden forests of pine present a beautiful spectacle. Meals and over night at Hotel
After breakfast, visit to Aru by local car (of your own) a village 11 km from Pahalgam. From here a famous trek leads to Kolohoi glaciers 3400 Mtrs. above sea level. Here you can have a glimpse of Kolohoi Peak 5370 Mtrs. And after lunch, visit to Chandanwari. 16 km from Pahalgam, serves as the starting point of the Amarnath yatra. (Of your own). Meals & Overnight at Hotel.
After early breakfast, drive to Gulmarg which takes 4 & half hrs to reach, at an altitude of 2900 Mtrs. A cup shaped valley called “Meadow of flowers” old name (Gaurimarg”,).the green carpeted meadows offer a pleasant view to tourists and perfect level of slopes to the golfers the Asia’s highest golf course with 18 holes is also a part of beauty in Gulmarg. You can take to a Cable Car ride which is completely computerized and goes upto top which is highest in the world at an altitude of 14000 fts. One can enjoy the breath taking view of snow caped mountains while going upto the Ist phase known as Kongdori [3045 mtrs] or IInd phase known as Affarwat [4060 mtrs] a famous ridge that offers adventures slopes for down hill skiing /snow boarding. A sledge or Ski can be hired when slopes are covered with snow .In evening visit to Saint Marry church & Rani Temple. Meals & overnight at Hotel.
After Breakfast.. drive to the Srinagar city (“Sri” means Lakshmi or Wealth & “Nagar” means a city) check in at houseboat, In the afternoon leave for Sightseeing of famous Shankarachariya Temple & Mughal Gardens (Nishat, Shalimar, and Cheshmashahi & Parimahal).Enroute to Hazratbal Shrine & Nigeen Club located on the bank of Famous Nigeen Meals & overnight at Hotel.
After early breakfast, leave for full day trip to Sonmarg (also known as the “Golden Meadow”, is situated at a height of 2740 m. The drive to this beautiful meadow is also as spectacular as the place itself. Driving through the Sindhu valley, you get to see another aspect of Kashmir. Encircled by snow-covered mountains, Sonamarg is a place of enchanting beauty, surrounded by dense forests, full of sycamore and alpine flowers, silver birch, fir and pine, the meadow presents a captivating sight.., Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier a major attraction during summer months. Return back to Srinagar. Meals and overnight at Hotel
After breakfast, drive to Khirbawani temple & Manasbal Lake is located in the Jhelum valley, north of Srinagar city. The large growth of lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) at the periphery of the lake (blooms during July and August) adds to the beauty of the clear waters of the lake. The lake is a good place for bird watching as it is one of the largest natural stamping grounds of Aquatic birds in Kashmir and has the sobriquet of supreme gem of all Kashmir Lakes. In evening Visit to floating gardens in famous Dal Lake by Shikara. Overnight at the Houseboat.
After breakfast, Check out from House boat and drive to Airport .for your onward journey.
